DCF Organizes Inclusive ToT on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA)
DCF successfully conducted a two-day Training of Trainers (ToT) on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) under the PSEA project at SETU Inn Training Center on February 26–27, 2025. This initiative was supported by the Inter-Agency Outreach and Communication Fund.
A total of 20 participants, including transgender individuals, indigenous community members, and persons with disabilities (wheer chair user, women with visual disabilities, women with physical disabilities, women with cerebral palsy, and the most invisible Deaf community), actively engaged in the training. The sessions covered the six principles of PSEA through role-plays, group exercises, and interactive discussions.
The training was facilitated by:
✅ Ms. Benedetta Cocco – PSEA Coordinator, Office of the UN resident Coirdinator
✅ Ms. Mahiratul Jannat – Co-chair, PSEA Network
✅ Ms. Fatema Akther Bony – Researcher on SRHR & PSEA for women with disabilities
✅ Ms. Nigar Sultana Zoha – Research Associate, BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University
✅ Ms. Shikha Khatun – Consultant on SRHR & PSEA for women with disabilities
✅ Ms. Priyata Tripura – Coordinator, PSEA Project, DCF, the training coordinator and PSEA training facilitator
✅ Facilitator from the Multi-Sectoral Program for Violence Against Women, Ministry of Women & Children Affairs
Special thanks to Ms. Badrunnahar Toma for interpreting sign language for Deaf participants, ensuring true inclusivity. The ToT was designed to be engaging, participatory, and accessible for wheelchair users, individuals with visual impairments, and other diverse participants.
This training marks a significant step in strengthening awareness and capacity on PSEA, promoting a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all.
